Four people,including a woman were killed in a head-on collision between a passenger minibus and an autorickshaw on the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf road.The accident took place at 9:30 am on Wednesday(February 10) at Shahid ATM Zafor Alam Arakan Road (Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Road) in the Lombabil area adjacent to Unchiprang in Teknaf Upazila, said Sub-Inspector (SI) Noor, in-charge of whykong Police Outpost. There are.The deceased were identified as Salamat Ullah(60)son of late Shamsul Alam, Nazrul Islam(30) son of Salam Ullah and Mariuam, daughter of Kamrul.Delwar, Rokeya, Sohana, Nur Jahan and Nurul Mostafa Manik were injured.The injured and dead were all residents of whykong in Teknaf and passengers of the CNG autorickshaw.
Citing locals,Teknaf Police Station OC Investigation Abdul Alim said,On Wednesday morning, a minibus named Cox’s Bazar-bound passenger palanquin (No. Cox’s Bazar-J-11-0238) collided with a CNG autorickshaw (No. Cox’s Bazar-Th-11-8746) heading towards Teknaf.One died on the spot and three others died on the way to hospital.The condition of another seriously injured is critical.The dead and injured are all CNG autorickshaw passengers.The OC said, the injured man was rescued by locals and brought to the district sadar hospital in Cox’s Bazar.The doctor on duty there said he died before being brought to the hospital.whykong police outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector (SI) Noor Alam said, the bodies of three of the dead were at the whykong police outpost and one at the Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital morgue.Two vehicles involved in the accident have been seized and brought to the police outpost.
